Getting Teachers Started

The idea behind this blog is to help you experience blogging yourself before jumping in. Here are some suggestions for your introduction to blogging:
  • Start by posting comments to these blog entries to see how it works. Notice the rules for comments, posted on the comments screen. Use your initials or your first name only. A good place to start is in the Good Ideas for Blogging section.
  • Take a look at some of the student blog samples in the Resources section on the left side of the page.
  • Feel free to submit an idea for posting, via the link in the sidebar. This information is collected in a GoogleDoc and reviewed by the blogmaster.
When you are ready to set up your own blog, contact me for information on setting up the blog to safely monitor everything that is posted.

    Thank you for creating this site and I want to share this with my fellow teachers. The students love to be on computers and I feel that many students who have challenges with handwriting or writing and also love computers will be more inclined to write on blogs.

The comments on the blog are being moderated. Please keep your response short and concise. Remember to follow these rules:

1. Your comment cannot reveal any private information.

2. STUDENTS: Sign all comments with your chosen pen name to identify yourself to this group only. Adults can use their own name, if desired.

3. Use correct web etiquette that includes formal, appropriate language, not text message slang..

4. Do not fill the comment box with unnecessary punctuation, use words instead.

5. Be respectful and considerate when replying to the ideas of others.

6. STUDENTS: When asked to CHOOSE AN IDENTITY before submitting your post for moderation, choose "anonymous" so your name is not revealed in the blog..Adults can use their own name, if desired.
